Sairam Rangachari has been appointed chief product and technology officer (CPTO) of Global Loan Agency Services (GLAS), a firm specializing in administration, agency, and trustee services for corporate loans and bonds. The position was created specifically for Rangachari, whose primary objective is to integrate AI into GLAS’s operations. He announced the move on LinkedIn, stating his aim to “build an AI-native mindset into how we build and serve our clients.” Rangachari brings experience from Temenos, where he served as chief product officer and head of AI, overseeing the launch of co-pilots like the FCM AI agent during his 18-month tenure.

Prior to Temenos, he held leadership roles at Fidelity National Information Services (FIS) and JPMorgan Chase, focusing on banking, payments, and digital channels. GLAS manages approximately $920 billion in assets under administration and over 6,000 loan facilities. Recent transactions include acting as facility and security agent for Econergy’s €229 million financing of the Părău 2 solar project in Romania and supporting QVC Group’s $600 million asset-based revolving credit facility tied to its financial restructuring.

The firm also served as note trustee for Chinese developer Fantasia Holdings Group’s restructuring of over $4 billion in offshore debt. Founded in 2011 by ex-City lawyer Brian Carne and former corporate banker Mia Drennan, GLAS expanded to its tenth global jurisdiction through the January acquisition of Italian debt administration provider Loan Agency Services (LAS). Drennan remains CEO. In January, Oakley Capital acquired a majority stake, with La Caisse and Levine Leichtman Capital Partners also taking minority positions. Rangachari’s AI expertise could significantly influence GLAS’s technological trajectory.

His background in deploying AI agents at Temenos suggests potential advancements in automating loan management processes, enhancing client service efficiency. However, the success will depend on how effectively AI integration aligns with GLAS’s existing workflows and client expectations. The firm’s recent restructuring activities indicate a need for scalable, tech-driven solutions, which Rangachari’s experience may address. AI integration could enhance operational scalability and client engagement across GLAS’s global footprint. Success will hinge on aligning new technologies with regulatory frameworks and client expectations. Rangachari’s proven track record in AI-driven product development positions him to lead this transformation.

Temenos Restructuring and GLAS’s Capital Raise Role

Rangachari’s tenure at Temenos concluded in July following a major restructuring of the company’s C-suite, which led to the departure of CPTO Barb Morgan and chief technology officer Rohit Chauhan, both replaced by Tony Coleman. He oversaw the launch of various co-pilots, including the FCM AI agent, during his 18-month tenure as chief product officer and head of AI.

GLAS recently served as tabulation agent for debt management firm Intrum’s SEK 7.5 billion capital raise and €525 million senior secured notes offering, demonstrating its capability in large-scale financial transactions.
