Peak3 Launches AI-DLC Cutting Insurance Tech Costs 50% - insurance tech costs
50% reduction in end-to-end new-feature development and core system implementation achieved by Peak3.

Peak3, a global provider of digital and AI-driven insurance software, launched Graphene Harness, the first global insurance AI-DLC, which cuts the cost and time to build, implement, and maintain insurance technology.

Graphene Harness applies AI across the entire software delivery lifecycle, from business analysis and architecture through engineering, testing, migration, deployment, and maintenance. Peak3 is achieving a 50% reduction in end-to-end new-feature development and core system implementation costs, with a target of 80% within 18 to 36 months.

Unlike traditional AI tools that act as coding assistants, Graphene Harness functions as a virtual technology team. The firm achieved this by distilling the knowledge of business analysts, architects, engineers, testers, and reviewers into digital AI counterparts within one governed delivery environment.

Bill Song, CEO of Peak3, stated, “With Graphene Harness, we are disrupting the market to the benefit of our customers. We are doing this by moving from selling software and related services to selling the production line that builds it, our entire AI delivery lifecycle (AI-DLC).”

“Insurance technology has traditionally been tied to large teams, lengthy implementation programmes, and high costs. AI fundamentally changes that model. Our ambition is to enable insurers to build and change their technology much faster, at significantly lower cost, while retaining the governance and control required for mission-critical insurance systems.”

The launch coincides with Graphene v4, the latest version of Peak3’s AI-native insurance core platform. It includes an upgraded agent orchestration and runtime platform, enhanced agent interfaces, and a marketplace of pre-built AI agents supporting life, health, and property & casualty insurance.

Pre-built agents support areas including medical underwriting, conversational first notice of loss (FNOL), intelligent document processing, and fraud, waste, and abuse in claims. AI agents can also reconfigure insurance products, calculations, and rules using natural-language instructions and unstructured documents, reducing complex configuration work that previously took days to hours or even minutes.

Access management, attribution, and detailed logging provide controls over what individual agents are permitted to do. The firm is already using Graphene Harness internally for building and maintaining its Graphene platform and is offering it to selected implementation partners, with plans to extend availability to clients over the next six to 12 months.
